As a subject matter expert for The Kauffman Foundation and Right Management starting in 2000, Kevin Lindsey taught classes to corporate executives interested in acquiring a business. Kevin realized that these entrepreneurial executives were unable to truly source and interact with companies they wanted to acquire. The DVS Group was founded to help bridge this gap and close deals. The services that these executives received in their former corporate roles were not available to them as individuals; the large, corporate investment banks are not geared to represent individuals in business acquisitions. Individuals are just too small, too time consuming and not profitable enough for their business model.
Recognizing that the entrepreneurial corporate executive is the future owner of great private businesses, The DVS Group developed a business model to service this niche in a profitable, high attention manner.
The DVS Group was named to Kansas City’s Top 25 Businesses Under 25 Employees in 2008. Since 2009, Tom Tilley and Kevin Lindsey have hosted The Entrepreneur Machine, a weekly radio show on 1510 AM KCTE.
